NICU Parent Support

New parents often can’t wait to bring their babies home and start their new lives together, but when the baby requires time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or NICU, those dreams have to be put on hold.

Babies who need to go to the NICU are often admitted within the first 24 hours after birth. Babies may be sent to the NICU if:

  • They are born prematurely
  • There are difficulties during their delivery
  • They show signs of a problem in the first few days of life

Robin provides emotional support to parents coping with worry, anxiety and disappointment through NICU parent support. It’s natural for you to feel frightened and confused with your child is placed in the NICU.
